KRISTINA M.CHLEBOWSKI

Kristina has over 15 years of professional art and design experience.  She operates in both freelance and staff capacities immersed in many different environments.

 

Currently contracted as a Graphic Artist with SpiderMeka Portraits in Chicago, she previously spent 9 years focused on decorated apparel as a Graphic Artist at Lansing Sport Shop, and 6 years in television with The Oprah Winfrey Network, Harpo Studios, Inc., and CBS Chicago. 

 

Her illustrations have been featured in a vast array of publications including the 2007 fitness book Death, Taxes & Pushups and the 2013 children's book Kids in Capes.  She shared her skills with other artists as a former instructor with South Shore Arts and an independent art tutor.

 

Always engaged in various disciplines spanning multiple media, her portfolio reflects everything from edgy screen print design to subtle photo editing.  She also maintains her love for sketching and painting, and enjoys the feeling of medium under her fingernails.

 

Kristina has a B.A. in Film and Video with a concentration in Traditional Animation from Columbia College Chicago, where she also tutored in the School's Writing Center.  Frequently attending required as well as extracurricular composition courses, she possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, which serve her well in book collaborations and business interactions.

 

Kristina's revered artists include painters Norman Rockwell and Lichtenstein as well as comic book pencillers Scott McDaniel and Greg Capullo.  Her favorite authors are early-American storyteller Washington Irving and comic book writers Scott Snyder and Gail Simone.
